2015 – Enneagram Vinyl [12″]

Coloured cover, shiny wax! E The ‘E’ stands for Enneagram, which is a way to classify which personality type you belong to. In other words, it describes which ‘lens you see your reality’ and in which stage of your personal development you made this decision. Now the collection has converged into a whole album as promised, the cover art segments merged into one full colourful Enneagram designed by Aaron Bolte. Enclosed a shiny Lucidflow vinyl with four excellent Klartraum dreams: Bill Bill ramps up the tension, using the dub theme but increasing the tempo. Hidden deep in the mix is a low constant held string, the very antithesis of the classic disco string. Drama Queen, it swings and wiggles before developing with a 70’s detective mystery edge. This then leaves Dark Space Night, abandoning the sleazy speakeasy mood for breathless dub techno momentum. This is the bread and butter of Klartraum, merging light and dark simultaneously in one continuous movement. Bell Birds Dub sets the tone by exquisitely moving through deep dub darkness with only the briefest sun shafts shining through. support by : Slam, Evil Eddie Richards, Nadja Lind, Thomas Schumacher, Pig & Dan, Josh Wink, Estroe, Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, Jonny Cruz, Alex Dolby / Affekt, Robert Owens, Calos Sanchez, DJ Franksen, Peter Kruder, Buda / Lulu...

2013 – Secret Moon Wax Edition, Pt. 2 [12″]

As label bosses of Lucidflow and Klartraum themselves, Nadja Lind and Helmut Ebritsch are afforded the luxury of dictating their music vision as they wish. This culminated in last year’s Secret Moon, the second studio album of the pairing, focussing on their fluid dub laden house grooves. This year has the other major benefit of being label bosses come in to play, with the Secret Moon remix project seeing friends and inspirations drafted in to contribute. Along with the immense digital package (which sees huge talent in the shape of Of Norway, Saytek, Trinity & Beyond, UGLH, Corrie Loi, G. Pal, Mirza-Zadeh, Weisses Licht, Ricciciomoto and The Messenger chipping in), Lucidflow are releasing vinyl only editions from the remix LP. Joining Alexi Delano, D. Diggler and David Alvarado from the first 12′, are Ian Pooley, Weisses Licht and Vince Watson. Diving Deep sees a downtempo deep dub interpretation from Weisses Licht, retaining the warmth of the original rather than choosing to be alien and gaseous. While Ian Pooley continues with the deep theme, his version is more direct, each dub twang on the beat driving the track on and acting as a firm foundation for the easy going keys. Emotive electronic maestro Vince Watson is tasked with tackling Map Of Truth, turning in a balearic coastal groove, reminiscent of Chicane’s seminal reworking of Furry Freaks. Finally, the original of the deep as you like Sell Your Soul is included; cunning looped vocal snippets and warm undulating textures provide the setting for an 80’s influenced keyboard solo. Part one of the wax edition has already seen huge support from major...

This culminated in last year’s Secret Moon, the second studio album of the pairing, focussing on their fluid dub laden house grooves. This year has the other major benefit of being label bosses come in to play, with the Secret Moon remix project seeing friends and inspirations drafted in to contribute. The remix project has already seen two vinyl editions released, showcasing the remixes from Alexi Delano, D. Diggler and David Alvarado from the first 12”, and Ian Pooley, Weisses Licht and Vince Watson featuring on the second slab of wax. Proving to be a different prospect entirely, the digital edition is a mammoth collection of 19 remixes. Something Wrong – Darkroom Dubs’ Of Norway turn in a tech-disco workout, with Chris Manura tearing up the rulebook for a smooth drum’n’bass workout. Secret Moon – fresh from his resoundingly received Live On Cubism Vol 2, Saytek turns in a dark and cavernous reworking, with Alexi Delano providing a lighter and more breathless take. Beatport Universe – Brickman retains Klartraum’s style with a remix that teams punchy kicks and muted dub textures, while Harlem Knights decide to ramp up the emotional impact with rising strings. Kazantrip – D.Diggler aims to rumble subs with a Live Dub that dominates the low end, while David Alvarado’s touch carries all the menace of an approaching wasp. Diving Dancer – the experience of Ian Pooley tells with a smooth house re-rub of Diving Dancer, the twanging dub chords driving every beat,...
